Photographic Walk on Curbar Edge

Good folks, for those who have taken an interest in the proposed photographic walk along Curbar Edge this Sunday, here are some further details:

Meet at 11am, at the Car park near the Edge.

From Chesterfield, travel along the A619 heading towards Baslow.  When you get to the first roundabout at Baslow, turn right and follow the A621 towards Sheffield.  Travel along through the trees, which will open out into moorland.  Just after this, there’s a cross roads; turn left here.

Follow that road to the brow of the hill, the double car park is on your right about half a mile ish away from the cross roads.  If you find yourself in Curbar after a couple of sharp bends, you’ve gone a tad too far…

(And if you find yourself riding alone through green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled… but we might have difficulty in directing you back from there… – Tiro)

All environments considered, Tiro and I have a couple of car spaces free for anyone who would like a lift.  Just give us a nudge and we’ll fit you in 🙂
Remember to tog up for the elements and the terrain!  If it’s howling a gale, we’ll all meet up at the same place and time, and just go find a nice place to hole up in for a while. We’re aiming to be back at the car park for 3pm at the latest, as it’ll probably be heading on for dark by then.

See you there, walking boots on and cameras at the ready!

  1. You could try S32 3YB – that’s a postcode for just off Bar Road in Curbar itself, I don’t think I can get much closer for the car park! Heading out of Curbar, go along Bar Road, where it turns into Clodhall Lane after a right hand bend. The car park will be on your left.
    See you then 🙂
