Hasfest II – the aftermath…

Well, it’s been a little while since the end of Hasfest II, and  you might just have been checking back here impatiently for photographic evidence of the weekend.  It’s taken a few days, and firstly we had to get our med certs signed to say that we were safe to come out in public again, but the photographs are done 🙂  Needless to say if you have any, and you’d like them putting up to share, please e-mail us with them and we’ll all have a giggle.  Just a thought before you go off perusing, the pictures here are shrunk and often cut down so that the interwebs doesn’t fall over.  If you’d like a copy of an original sized picture (3000×4000 pixels each) then give us a nudge and we’ll arrange an unshrunk copy to wing its way to you.   And now the pics, drum roll please:

Suffice to say that the weekend went very well, the weather was dry and sunny, if a little blustery in places.  We arrived early to set up the marquee for the first time, help setting up the information stall and pick dandelions to decorate the labyrinth.  Plenty of things occupied our time as people arrived and the site got busier and busier.  Soon it was time for the  workshops and displays before we settled down to the serious business of drumming into the late afternoon and evening.  The Burning Man was lit by J, leading to these pictures:

We’ll add to this in the coming days: it’s late, we’re tired and we both have full time jobs which start at stupid AM…

Just before you go: take a look at this:

We’ve not altered it from the original picture, it’s simply an enlargement from the Burning Man 3.  Awesome, yet strangely disquietening.  We’ve all gone introspective now…

  1. Just a quick note to say Hasfest II was an experience not to be forgotten! My family and I had a wonderful time, the weather was fab, the drumming was great, the people were outstanding and the atmosphere on Saturday night was just something else!! J’s fire-dance was something he should be very proud of! To lift the energy of a circle like that, well ………… the fella deserves a pint of the best!!
We’re all just looking forward to the next Hasfest now :O)

    Cheers for a top weekend!!

  2. This was the first time I’d been to a pagan festival and I have to say it was brilliant, I loved it all, the company, the atmosphere, the drumming, the beautiful green lady and the dandelion festooned labyrinth and of course that fantastic burning man. Love and light to the organisers and all who attended. Carol, rainbow girl. x
