Drumming Group

For those not aware, the first Thursday of every month is the date on which the Chesterfield drumming group gathers to bash drums for three hours together up at Eyre’s Chapel, Newbold, Chesterfield from 1900 – 2200.  It’s not a specifically pagan event, even though it’s mostly full of pagans 🙂  Just to do a shameless plug, all abilities are welcome, from complete beginner to experienced drum hitter, we have spare drums and other percussion instruments for the borrowing and there’s usually a biscuit and hot drink break somewhere in the middle.  You don’t have to have any previous experience, nor judge yourself to have command of complicated rhythm.  The price of this mighty night out is a princely £3 per person.  Our last one was a couple of days ago with about 30 in attendance, and Wendy was kind enough to take some pictures so you can see what goes on:

From some of the photographs we were able to give some bits a tweak, just so’s it’s clear that the drums really don’t sparkle like that… (shame – Tiro)

And finally my favourite image from the evening:

Hope to see you there next time 🙂
