So, the Easter Bunny gifted me with a new camera. Oh yes they did, stop sniggering at the back there. So I took it out a few days ago to have a play in Chesterfield’s Queens Park. Spring is firmly in attendance, with the Green Lady (spray-painted onto a bridge support under the foot bridge from Chatsworth Road entrance) seeming to smile just a little at the prospect of warmer weather.
Just in case you already know her well and are wondering, we’ve taken the unusual step of cleaning up the picture some and removing the romantically inclined scratched in graffiti. So sue us, she’s worth it ;p)
Even the dandelions are a welcome brightness 🙂
There are plenty of dasies too, studding the grass with intermittent brightness.
Despite what it looks like, I haven’t used a fish eye lens to make it look bendy. ‘Tis just a curved piece of ground.
I love the dark colours in these pansies.
The Magnolia tree in the park is just starting to bud at the moment. I’ll have to come back again to try and catch it in bloom 🙂
